Cons of the Coleman Belted Cooler
While the Coleman Belted Cooler is an excellent product overall, there are a couple of things that we disliked about it. So let’s take a quick look at what they were.
Firstly, we would have preferred for this device to have wheels. The Coleman Belted Cooler comes with strong and comfortable handles that allow you to carry the cooler, but this is the only way that you can transport it.
As the device is lightweight, the lack of wheels is not an issue when it is empty, however, once you have filled the cooler carrying it can become difficult. For us, the lack of wheels is not enough to make this a bad product, but if we could improve one thing it would probably be to add wheels to the design.
Another issue that we picked up with this cooler is that the latch can sometimes be difficult to use. The design of the entire cooler is very basic and simple until you encounter the latch that connects the lid to the rest of the cooler.
When you first begin using this cooler, you will more than likely have to physically kneel alongside the cooler to be able to attach the latch.
The reason that the latch is so complex is so that it can successfully insulate the contents of the cooler, so there is a reason behind the difficulty, but it can be frustrating when you first begin using the cooler.
That being said, we are sure that the more you use the cooler, the easier using the latch will become. As they say, practice makes perfect.
Finally, the only other issue we perceived with this product is the basicness of the design. This has no bearing on the capability of the cooler, but we would have loved it if you could purchase this cooler in fun designs.
But this is more of an issue with the entire cooler market rather than this product specifically.
And that benign said this product does have one of the most diverse color ranges out of the different coolers we have encountered on the market.

In short, we really like the Coleman Steel Belted Cooler. While this device has its disadvantages, as everything does, the benefits of this cooler definitely outweigh the negatives.
